Privacy Policy

Leksi is an AI-powered news analysis service. When you search for a topic, Leksi fetches publicly available articles from multiple news outlets and uses a large language model to compare how each outlet frames the story — surfacing factual discrepancies, framing differences, and notable omissions.

Leksi does not produce original journalism. Every piece of analysed content belongs to the original publisher and is credited with a direct link. We are an analysis layer, not a news source.

Email address — only if you subscribe to the daily digest. We use a double opt-in: you must click a confirmation link before any email is sent. Your email is used solely to deliver the daily digest and never shared with third parties for marketing.

Push notification token — only if you click "Allow" when your browser asks for notification permission. The token is stored to send you breaking-story alerts. You can revoke permission in your browser settings at any time.

Contact messages — if you use the contact form, we receive your name, email, subject, and message in order to reply.

Search queries — the topics you submit are stored as processing jobs so the AI can generate a digest. We do not link queries to individual identities. There are no user accounts.

Page view counts — we count how often a digest page is opened (a single integer per article). No personal data is recorded.

Bookmarks and recent searches — stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Language preference — a single cookie named "lang" stores your chosen interface language. It contains no tracking data.

Together.ai — article text is sent to Together.ai's API so an AI model can perform the multi-source analysis. Together.ai processes this content under their own privacy policy.

Resend — we use Resend to deliver email digests and confirmation emails. Resend processes recipient email addresses under their own privacy policy.

DuckDuckGo — we use DuckDuckGo's news search to find relevant articles for a given topic. No user data is sent to DuckDuckGo.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We do not use advertising networks, ad tracking, or behavioural profiling. We do not use cookies for any purpose other than storing your language preference.

Unsubscribe from email — click the unsubscribe link in any digest email, or reply to any digest with "unsubscribe".

Remove push notifications — revoke notification permission in your browser settings.

Data deletion — email hello@leksi.co with the subject "Data deletion request" to have your email address or push subscription removed from our records.

Data access — you may request a copy of personal data we hold about you by contacting hello@leksi.co.

Email subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Push notification tokens are retained until you revoke browser permission or the token expires. Search queries (pending jobs) are automatically purged after 30 days.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the website.
